Is Vinegar Good For Diabetes? Including Apple Cider Vinegar

Hello, I’m Ty Mason from TheDiabetesCouncil.com,
researcher, writer and I have type 2 diabetes. Today I’m going to answer the question, is
the vinegar good for diabetes. But before we get into that, make sure you
download my free diabetes management book which also includes a diabetes grocery shopping
guide (foods to eat and avoid) by clicking the link below. I have had diabetes for a very long time. I have heard a lot of home remedies for helping
lower my blood sugar or even curing my ailment. But I have never in my life heard of drinking
vinegar as a means of a diabetes cure. The thought kind of turns my stomach to be
very honest. Yet, I have read many claims about apple cider
vinegar over the past couple of days. It has been enough to make my head spin. So lets get into to so I can stop being so
dizzy. My quest began trying to find out what vinegar
really is. I mean, we probably have all tasted it in
some form or fashion, but what is it? It is basically a fermented liquid that is
very acidic because of its content of acetic acid. The acetic acid is produced by a fermentation
of ethanol or alcohol. Which is why vinegar is made from products
which alcoholic beverages are made of. Now I thought there were about 3 kinds of
vinegar. White, apple cider and balsamic are what I
had heard of. Turns out there are way more than that and
I stopped counting at about 30. So what about this vinegar helping those with
diabetes? Believe it or not I found several studies
that actually back up the claim. Not as a cure but as a means of lowering blood
sugar. The most recent was in January of 2016. But I found research going back into the 1980’s. It is thought that the acetic acid helps the
body in breaking down carbohydrates and lowering the amount of glucose released by the liver. I did not find any long term studies or large
research samples, but there was enough evidence for me to conclude that
YES, vinegar is good for diabetes. It is suggested by those who use vinegar on
a regular basis to mix a tablespoon with 6 ounces of water and a pack of artificial sweetener
for taste. Others put it in diet soft drinks. I will warn you, do not put it in milk, a
reaction will cause a form of plastic to form in your glass. I am serious. Drink before bed and before lunch and evening
meals. Give it try! I hope this answered your question is vinegar
good or bad for diabetes. Don’t forget to get your diabetes management
book by clicking the link in the description box below. Let me know if you have any other diabetes
related questions. Thank you
