How to preserve peppers – Dehydrating and freezing methods

I’m going to show a couple different ways that I preserve my peppers at end of the season there’s lots of things you can do with them like making sauces jellies or whatever sometimes when you have a whole bunch to do once before they go bad you couldn’t really use all of these before they good bad like when you making sauces unless you have a commercial kitchen something but so what I like to do is freeze and dry and then that allows me to do what I want with him later especially freezing because you can always use that for sauces and jellies and we could still dry those too and if you dry them you can use them as they are or make powder blends and different spices so the key thing too is to vacuum-seal. If you’re gonna do this you really need a foodsaver because for dried peppers that keeps the air out so I can’t absorb moisture and go mad. With freezing it’s going to keep it from getting freezer burn so basically once you vacuum seal after you pre-process it basically it stays good and definitely until you’re ready to use it so the first thing I’m going to do is dehydrating so i believe i will use these Bhutlah Brown SLP already frozen a bunch of these I like to have some for powder those and also these Kpakpo Shito cross across and these Cheiro Recife receiving these handful of warm spring and may as well do these black pilot study these these these these and the bill brown SLP and then i’ll pick some more fries I’ll show there’s also a always start by spraying everything now with vinegar this isn’t natural disinfectant and she’s a good wind up killing germs that can be on their garden and it washes off as leave any toxic residue and spray that off really well and after been spraying out actually wants them a little when you’re working and doing so then I’ll just kind of draw each one off individually and have to be super super drive but driving here and take a kind of do you know checking the part as i go to after one that soft i’ll toss it then go ahead and just eat them all and i’m done with that then all I’m trying actually slice them in half is going to be set cut side up and this 411 thing it does is it makes it dry quicker but also allows you to inspect the pods make sure there’s no bad spots actually look good and just lay them on the tray you know cut side up and keeps any juices from running out for help screen protector for my down the bottom that’s why do it and so yeah just stuck following trays the manager comes with portrays but about 2 extra trays actually filling up six so when I had the other peppers that of clean and cut to you ready to turn this on and let it run for about a day you have 20 hours or so another cracker drive basically and then a you can do this is an easy way to to thank you so the pods first you use the role of them sealed bags just cut it you still won end then you fill it and then vacuum and silicon and you can also use mason jars with the heartstealer attachment that’s really good way to score points as well and i have any cars available so it’s going to use these bags and the organism just as good sometimes the bags get punctured if it’s a really hard piece in the pod but if I usually don’t have any problems with it so let’s just go ahead and fill these up and when we have about maybe a couple inches more space left on the end the next enough to stick in there just kind of flatten a little bit and slide things it sucked all the air click on the ceiling nothing the bags and nothing else can get back in and it takes a few seconds for to finish that that on it’s done it’s packed already together and I just want the name of the pod and the date and it will stay good indefinitely so that’s set its really tight and vacuum sealed for the ones i want to phrase it exactly the same way except I don’t cut them in half that’s not necessary i just kind of cut them open enough to peek inside and make sure there’s no bad spots and kind of little hands-on they’re just fill them the exact same way you do with the dropbox stick it in there and slit vacuum seal that yeah so it’s is done the same thing I just write the name of the pepper remember how to spell it and the date and just take in the freezer and it will stay perfectly fresh until ready to use it and hope you enjoy that please like comment subscribe thanks for watching
