Reply Vadim Tudor says: January 15, 2020 at 9:50 am humans always like to overcomplicate things. Fasting means eating nothing, including drinks that need to be metabolised by the liver like coffee. How can you even ask about mct oil and heavy cream. If you want to fast just fast wtf Reply Veera S says: January 15, 2020 at 9:57 am Black like my soul Reply Psych n Stats Tutor says: January 15, 2020 at 10:13 am My morning bullet coffee (sometime between 4am and 5am) is esspresso with raw honey, half teaspoon of cacoa, pinch of cinnamon, tablespoon of pre-boiled tumeric, teaspoon of ghee and a teaspoon of coconut cream. Yummy 😋 Reply T Hobbins says: January 15, 2020 at 1:04 pm I like my coffee like I like my women – full of booze! Reply Georg Antonischki says: January 15, 2020 at 1:42 pm As an avid coffee drinker, i'd suggest if you don't like your coffee black, get better coffee. I roast my own, freshly roasted is the very best, i love my coffee cowboy style. Don't burn your coffee, if you have a coffee machine add a bit of cold water in the empty can, so the first coffee drips don't get burned. Don't overdo the coffee to water ratio, good coffee will still be acceptable with lots of water. But i have a hard time believing that coffee is just colored water. It severely messes my digestion and I won't do coffee before exercise. Coffee severely weakens my stamina. Also, the black color of coffee is actually burned sugars. Just ask Mr. Maillard about it! Reply Diego says: January 15, 2020 at 1:43 pm hey , what if the coffee beans are glazed?? most of supermarket brands are glazed. its that ok with the fast??cheers! Reply RoryVanucchi says: January 15, 2020 at 1:46 pm What about a tablespoon of coconut oil in coffee? Like to take fat with vitamins in the evening? Thanks Reply Tim Heasman says: January 15, 2020 at 1:54 pm No Reply PowerWeight Training says: January 15, 2020 at 2:10 pm I normally drank coffee with a little bit of mile and sugar. Since I started fasting about a month I started drinking black coffee. Now when I do add a bit of mile or sugar on non fasting days the coffee tastes odd. So black coffee it is. Reply John Smith says: January 15, 2020 at 2:32 pm I drink a cup of coffee with two teaspoons of xylitol. What does that do to fasting? Reply BurningCornflake says: January 15, 2020 at 3:04 pm Hey Dr Dan, I love your videos and watched them often. However, I am now wanting to change my diet to a vegan diet but I would like to see if you know or have any information on a vegan ketogenic diet. Nowadays many people are making the change to veganism for many reasons but I would like to know what your thoughts are on this subject. Thanks a lot! Reply Triple 9 HQ says: January 15, 2020 at 4:07 pm First thing in the morning, black with butter and MCT oil instead of breakfast. Later in the day with cream and five drops of stevia. Reply Ross Miller says: January 15, 2020 at 5:52 pm I was a big breakfast eater so a nice big cup of black coffee is necessary in the morning. Helps me get my first liter of water in before noon. Reply Nizmo Da Tank says: January 15, 2020 at 6:00 pm There is a Starbucks cold brew bottle about 325ml claims to be black (unsweetened) but contains 15 calories and 2g of carbs and 1g of protein would this break my fast ? Reply mm5LA says: January 15, 2020 at 6:26 pm I have my coffee with 2 Tbs heavy cream, 3 pumps sugar free vanilla syrup (sucralose) and a scoop of collagen protein. I cut back on the chocolate milk and sweetener, but found that black coffee was more palatable than not enough of the other. Also, I find that the taste black coffee leaves in my mouth tends to suppress the kind of 'mouth hunger' cravings you get from boredom. Reply jojo H says: January 15, 2020 at 11:41 pm I like.mine.black.….like my heart and mascara! Reply Graham Bate says: January 15, 2020 at 11:44 pm In my coffee I like 20 mils of cream and 20 mils of atkinsons smooth chocolate low carb protein and a half a teaspoon of sweetener Reply Felix Martin says: January 15, 2020 at 11:51 pm I know this is not for breakfast, but I have not found a real answer. Does artificial sweeteners break keto? Do they send a signal that something sweet is entering the body and trigger insulin? Reply Paul Bjorgan says: January 16, 2020 at 12:50 am I only go in for the taste. I used to enjoy coffee with cream now I like it black but only if it's brewed correctly (hot water over med dark roasted freshly ground beans). Every coffee shop coffee is horrible, even Starbucks.. Reply Lem Hanback says: January 16, 2020 at 1:15 am I prefer 2 teaspoons of spleda and 2 teaspoons of non dairy creamer. However willing to switch to whole milk and perhaps droping sweetner I can drink it black but not preferred. Reply Brigid Martin says: January 16, 2020 at 1:30 am A cup of Barry’s REQUIRES whole milk and always black coffee Reply Radnally says: January 16, 2020 at 2:53 am Is three scoops of vanilla in my coffee ok? Reply Larry Powell says: January 16, 2020 at 3:29 am I had expected you to do blood sugar level testing after drinking the coffee. This video is useless and is only based on your oppinion. You should do this video again with actual blood testing on each of the items in question, then this video would be worth watching. Reply Christopher Monkus says: January 16, 2020 at 4:03 am I drink my coffee blacker than Hade's maw. Reply zarko ristov says: January 16, 2020 at 8:23 am So how long after drinking a latte does the insulin level go back to that desired intermittent fasting level? Reply Stan Schwarz says: January 16, 2020 at 8:25 am I've fasted up to 14 days drinking tons of green tea, black coffee, and the occasional bone broth, and eating the occasional apple and plain yogurt. Let's say 300 calories per day. No hunger, good energy levels, no issues. 1K calorie burning bicycle rides (per power meter) without bonking while fasting. So yeah.. two thumbs up for black coffee while fasting. Reply Richard Illingworth says: January 16, 2020 at 9:00 am I am loving all this content, it sure is a new learning curve for eating. Could this be one of your next videos? Reply Paul Kruger says: January 16, 2020 at 9:11 am Because of all these contradicting videos I'm happy just drinking water. Reply Louisa Medlicott says: January 16, 2020 at 9:26 am Thanks! I have been trying to get into black coffee but I just find it a little too bitter to really enjoy, so if I can go back to my long black with a very small splash, perhaps 15ml, of whole fat milk, I will be a very happy person! Yay! Reply Shaun Okeefe says: January 16, 2020 at 10:45 am I like my coffee with a few drops of stevia in black coffee Reply David R. says: January 16, 2020 at 11:08 am I like to drink coffee with honey, is that ok? Reply Marco International says: January 16, 2020 at 1:14 pm i learned that it does. u can drink only water. even black coffe activates liver and that means break of fast. caffeine must be processed Reply Ullimately says: January 16, 2020 at 2:12 pm Why would someone drink coffee in the first place? It tastes bitter and nastily burned. It surely contains a lot of polycyclic aromatic compounds that give you cancer.Just to be able to wake up?If you need coffee to wake up then you are addicted and you should try to ween yourself off the coffee. Reply Patricia Palmer says: January 16, 2020 at 4:32 pm No, and eating a Snickers bar isn't either. A bagel with cream cheese isn't but adding lox is. Hee! Reply Courtnay Zeitler says: January 16, 2020 at 5:01 pm Heavy cream, really strong. Reply Kerry McCabe says: January 16, 2020 at 5:58 pm I like my coffee like I like my metal music.
