Can Hormonal Imbalance Cause Depression And Anxiety | Balance Insulin

Hey guys. I appreciate you tuning in for this episode
of the Mental Minute. Today we’re going to be talking about hormones,
what happens when your body produces too much or not enough hormones, and then using an
illustration of a seesaw to give you a better understanding of why in many instances taking
a supplement is not necessarily the best choice of action. Now if you think about your body, your body
always wants to maintain balance, but we could talk about any hormone, but today we’re going
to be talking about insulin, so when you eat highly processed or highly carbohydrate foods
what happens it becomes out of balance. Your body produces a significant amount of
insulin, and it’s out of whack, and if you eat a significant amount of those highly carbohydrate
processed foods it stays up there, and so you have this unbalanced seesaw. Most people try to take supplements to artificially
prop up the lower end when in all actuality the easiest way to do it is simply remove
the heavy things or those foods from the low end and eventually your body comes back
to balance.
